Your regens interval look fine to me. These cars will regen after that milage whether the DPF needs it or not. VW documentaiton states that this is about every 500 miles but others on the forum with Vagcom seem to think that it is 300 miles. If you drive in such a way, your engine will produce a lot of soot, then the regens could be sooner.

In short, the only way to achieve this is to have a scanner that allows you to force one? It's the only answer I've come across. In the long term I'm going to put a electronic cutoff within the canister cleverly hidden to bypass the dpf and use my software that's on its way to disable the def system, but in the meantime is my only option a
Why would you want to turn the dpf regen process off? So you can allow more passive regens and plan your regen for a highway trip that will be 20-30 minutes. Preferably hauling a load of some sort. Higher egts equals more efficient regen. I am not suggesting to haul a car trailer everytime you regen. Just plan your regens. If you are going to
