Hi, if the choice is between Desenzano or Peschiera then I would probably choose Desenzano. But, as Vagabonda has said, there are lots of other places to consider - Salo', Malcesine, Garda, Bardolino, Riva etc.

It takes around an hour to reach the tiny hamlet and marina at Pacengo and around 75 minutes further to Lazise. There is a bus back to Peschiera del Garda from either place.
